Linux 15 vuotta

The idea

On September the 17th 2006 it will be exactly 15 years ago that Linus Torvalds uploaded version 0.01 of Linux (original name Freax). The idea is to celebrate this occasions with as much splendour as possible.

  • Involving the penguins in korkeasaari
    • perhaps a visit and a feeding by Linus
  • Tux racer competition
  • Using juhlasali at HY
  • Sell copies of “Just for Fun”
    • perhaps autographed copies during the first day
  • Involve other organisations besides L-A and FLUG
    • E.g. COSS, FUUG, TUUG, Linux-instituutti, PLUG

    • Movial
